Sparkling young scientists of Year 6 celebrated Science Week with exciting experiments, and hands-on activities. With the theme “Conserve to Preserve” parents were enthralled to explore the wonders of Science like- Marangoni effect - It’s a fascinating form of art which provided platform to our Science enthusiasts to explore the unique properties of Surface tension. Learning from cabbage juice as an indicator and pH was a fun and educational experience to the young innovators as they experienced the thrill of hands on Chemistry. Through the process of assembling a fossil puzzle students improved the observation skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities. Moreover, engaged with building a balloon powered car is an hands on activity which allowed the STEM enthusiasts to witness the power of forces in action.

Each year, Roald Dahl Day is celebrated all around the world on the 13th September to celebrate the fabulous author who has brought so many exciting and incredible characters to our imaginations.
Theme for this year was: The Gloriumptiuos World of Roald Dahl. Students were given a choice to create their own dictionary of Roald Dahl’s Vocabulary which not only helped them to enhance their vocabulary skills but gave wings to their imagination. Others designed a character flip book exploring Roald Dahl characters as the famous writer provides the perfect opportunity to explore characterization. Some pupils read facts about Dahl which they had researched themselves. The day reiterated the many ‘life lessons’ that Dahl’s books contain which are still very much relevant today. International Literacy Day was celebrated under the theme. ‘Promoting literacy for a world in transition: Building the foundation for sustainable and peaceful societies.’ Year 6 students celebrated the International Literacy Day with an array of interesting activities during registration time to create awareness on the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights, and a powerful tool for human being to advance towards a more literate and sustainable society. They created a blog/ for the school twitter account. Eventually, it was a day were students realized and appreciated the importance and strength of literacy that can shape their future.
Year 6 students celebrated International Day of Charity to raise awareness on helping others through volunteer and philanthropic activities. Collaboration through group discussions and public speaking skills were developed as students formulated ideas to raise awareness. Students created posters or presentations about different charity initiatives and the causes they support to raise awareness. Students showed their creativity by composing poems on the importance of giving, helping and kindness.
