Feelings of wellbeing are fundamental for the overall health of a student, enabling them to successfully overcome difficulties and achieve what they want out of life. It encourages the development of children to become responsible citizens. Student leaders of year 6 conducted an assembly on ‘Empowering Wellbeing’ to highlight the importance of mental and physical health. They conducted a small skit followed by sharing essential tips to enhance wellbeing. The school choir performed a beautiful song on Wellbeing.

The United Nations-declared World Space Week, celebrated annually from October 4-10, witnesses thousands of organizations across the globe uniting to commemorate the contributions and advancements of space exploration. The previous year, WSW saw a record-breaking participation with more than 11,200 reported events across 87 nations.
Students of Year 6 Projected that mental health is not just an individual concern but a collective responsibility through a skit. It is a day to unite, educate, and raise awareness about critical issues surrounding mental health. A parent Mr. Iftikaar Hussein also shared his thoughts through a video message and insisted on the importance of mental health.
Students of Year 6 attended an online session on ‘Respiratory Etiquette’ orchestrated by Dr. Mozhgan. The session highlighted primacy and benefits of a simple yet effective way to prevent illness: a healthy lifestyle, healthy diet and consistent physical activity. It enlightened our students that a high level of standard infection control precautions to staff and students, and good respiratory etiquette to both staff and residents can help prevent the spread of respiratory infection.

It was shared as a presentation and discussed, students shared about their regular practice followed by them and their parents while their daily commute to school. Students were also shown some important road signs and symbols to enhance their knowledge about roads and routes. Wide range of activities were organized for students to make the session enriching and informative for students. Students of Year 6 orchestrated a grabbing skit, demonstrating the importance of SEWA day. Projecting carefully scripted characters, the students raised awareness for the SEWA initiative and its impact. Students also learnt about multiple historic figures known for their service to the initiative as well. Through the assembly students demonstrated the feeling of satisfaction, compassion, acceptance, kindness towards their fellow beings and community.
The United Nations designated the first Monday of October of every year as World Habitat Day to reflect on the state of our habitats, and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter. The Day is also intended to remind the world that we all have the power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns. Students celebrated this day by brainstorming their ideas and creating posters to emphasize on right of all to adequate shelter.
